On August 9, 2022 there may be master elections for one or both of the major parties.  In order to vote in the Democratic principal, you must be registered as a Democrat. Besides, to vote in the Republican primary you must be registered as a Republican.

Deadlines for Possible Primary

About the Registrars of Voters Office

The function of the Registrars of Voters is governed by Connecticut State Statutes. The primary duties of the Registrars are to register new voters, maintain voter registration records and enrollment records, publish lists of eligible voters, carry a country-required canvass of all voters, compile monthly reports of all activities concerning voters in town, and administer and oversee all elections, primaries and referenda in an accurate and impartial way. They are also responsible for hiring and training over 200 official poll workers also as maintaining all voting equipment used for the ballot.

The Registrars of Voters Office is a vital section to the office of the Town'southward government. The Office is governed by Connecticut General Statutes and financially supported by the Municipality. Ensuring fair, authentic and efficient elections is our highest priority.

Registration Requirements

To register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of the town in which yous wish to vote and at least 17 years of age and turning 18 on or earlier election twenty-four hour period.
